Lower Columbia BUSINESS History and Fact Sheet
Briefly, Lower Columbia BUSINESS has been published since 1990. It is the only business-to-business publication dedicated solely to Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook counties in Oregon, and portions of Pacific and Wahkiakum counties in Washington. LCB is distributed free of charge to licensed business owners and community leaders in our readership counties, as well as to selected individuals in Portland, Salem, and Washington DC.
As of the January 2000 issue, you may choose to have your subscriptions via the Internet, versus printed copies. You may provide us with your e-mail address and we will send you an e-mail refresher link to our Website when the new issue is posted. Also, for readers who do not fall within the above geographical/ community leader or e-mail subscriber categories, paid subscriptions are available for only $15.00 per calendar year.
LCB provides information on new and changing businesses within our readership areas, as well as a business calendar listing city council meetings, chamber functions and special events. Each issue also includes a handy listing of service club meetings, such as Kiwanis or Rotary International, for the convenience of our readers.
We also print information on changing legislation and updates on the business environment, as well as occasional guest articles from professionals in an area of expertise, such as tax related articles that would benefit small business owners.
The periodic LCB Commercial Corner, highlights business opportunities and commercial properties for sale or lease, while display advertising generally supports more ongoing business efforts or upcoming special events.
Our monthly circulation ranges from 3,400 to 3,800 depending on the season and the issue focus, and it is updated monthly via reader input, post office address corrections, business license and chamber of commerce membership lists.
