n The City of Manzanita and the City of Wheeler are holding a joint Water Supply Meeting on Wednesday, December 1, 1999. g The Tillamook Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its 3rd Annual Christmas Shopping Spree. The Grand Prize is a Shopping Spree valued at $200 each for shopping at the following stores: Fred Meyer, Roby's Furniture, J.C. Penney Company, Diamond Art Jewelers, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Rosenberg Builders Supply. The 2nd Prize is a $100 certificate for merchandise or services at a store chosen from the Tillamook Chamber of Commerce membership list. g North Tillamook County's annual Community Christmas Party will be held Saturday, December 4 at the Bayside Gardens Restaurant, south of Manzanita. Cocktails begin at 6, dinner at 7pm. Tickets to the party are $16 each, and may be purchased at the Mystery Treasure House and Stockton's Lumber in Nehalem, Laknes' Pieffenschneider in Wheeler, the Treasure Cave in Manzanita, and at the Bayside Gardens Restaurant. An auction and raffles will be held throughout the evening and monies generated will be donated to the three cities. Past monies have been used to fund fire departments, parks and schools. g The Astoria Children's Museum announces the following benefactors in their recently announced $25,000 fundraising campaign: $1,000 each from Lavis & DiBartolomeo and Columbia Pacific Imaging, Inc.; $200 each from Allstar Plumbing and Carr Chevy World; $175 from Ship Service Company; $125 from Bank of Astoria; $50 from Larry and Shirley Perkins; $45 each from Columbia Adjustment Company and Columbia Orthopedic Clinic, P.C.; and $35 from Glen's Barber Shop. Donors who gave $45 will sponsor a low-income family membership for the year, while contributors who gave $200 or more will sponsor a family membership plus the museum's newsletter for one month. Gifts of $500 or more will receive the above benefits in addition to a line in an engraved plaque, to be displayed at the museum. Gifts of $1,000 or more receive the above plus a museum T-shirt and a seasonal party. Gifts of $2,500 or more add a lifetime membership for the family of your choice. The museum also is announcing its third annual Silent Auction and Family Party, 10am to 5pm on Saturday, December 4, at the museum, 475 11th Street in Astoria. From 11a to 4p on Sunday, December 5 Purple Cow Toys, at 1405 Commercial Street in Astoria will hold a day of shopping with ten percent of the day's proceeds going to the Astoria Children's Museum. g The VOCA/Healing Circle's Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 2 as a no-host dinner celebration. This year's dinner will be held at the Columbian Cafe, 1114 Marine Drive in Astoria. > Information for Paula St. James, the new director of communications for Clatsop Community College was reported incorrectly. St. James first moved to Clatsop County from Cottage Grove, Oregon, with her family in 1969. She graduated Warrenton High School and attended Clatsop Community College. In 1976, she left for Portland and became a licensed dental hygienist. After living 10 years in Seattle, St. James returned to Clatsop County in 1991.She graduated with honors from Portland State University's School of Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Advertising Management. She has worked with the Miss Clatsop County Pageant and Dolphin Radio prior to accepting the position with the college.

> As of November 2, following tenants are planning to occupy space at the Tillamook Coastal Center: Grand Auto; Main Street Pizza; a tanning business with health and beauty supplies; State Farm Insurance; a company to manufacture rubber stamps and scrapbook supplies; a store with personalized gifts, soaps, lotions, cosmetics, toys, candles, incense and novelty items; Kraft Shoes; a store with supplies for home skills, crafts and hobbies; Hand Me Ups; and, hopefully, a national movie and VCR rental shop. As of November 2 there were still three spaces left for lease and the owners of Tillamook Coastal Plaza, Ben and Mary Lou Hathaway, were seeking a tenant who will sell, service and repair bicycles to round out the list.
