A Winding Road to Windermere Astoria
Broker starts out as boat yard manager, then on to properties

Kent Easom is originally from San Anselmo, California. He managed a boat yard there for ten years and began overseeing family properties. Easom was ready for a change by March 1990 and he moved to Astoria, Oregon. By 1992 he had purchased the ERA North Coast Professionals Real Estate franchise in Warrenton, which he operated for four years with managing broker Victor Kee. In 1996 he started Easom Property Management, a firm he still owns today, which currently manages 30 properties in the Astoria/ Warrenton area in a mix of 80% long term rentals, 20% commercial properties. In September, 1998 he added the Coast Properties Real Estate office to his portfolio with Debra Bowe of Astoria as Coast's first employee.
As of February 4, 2000 came another fork in the road. Coast Properties and Kent officially took over as owner/broker for the Astoria franchise of the Windermere real estate office, which is now renamed Windermere/Pacific Land Company.
For the last four years, the Astoria Windermere office had been owned by Brian Allen, who owns 14 Portland-area and Oregon coast Windermere franchises. Agents working with the office, Linda Stephens (5 years), Rosalie McCleary (4 years), Marsha Stone (2 years), Samantha Lundberg (2 years), and Mike Walker (1 year), will stay on with Kent. Debra Bowe will come over from the Coast Properties office. LCB
