Majestic Mortgage hires Coast Representative
Desire to return to rainy climate lands work as loan officer

If you want to travel, and perhaps pursue a career that few experience, join the US Air Force. That's what Iowa native Angela "Angi" Evans did. She spent five years in the Air Force, receiving training as a jet engine mechanic and living in places like Louisiana and Spain. The military then sent her to Oregon and she moved on to Nevada. She left the armed services in 1991 and began a career in manufactured homes, where she was awarded the Salesperson of the Month award four times and the Million Dollar Sale plaque twice. She has sold pre-owned as well as new homes and also has experience with repossessed homes. I wanted to "get back to Oregon," she said, however and moved back one year ago. "I decided I wanted to get back to where it is beautiful and I love the ocean. I knew I would find a business that wanted a person with sales experience." She found not one, but two.
She has just begun work at Ballantyne and Douglass Fine Art Gallery in Cannon Beach, and at about the same time became the coastal loan officer for Majestic Mortgage.
Majestic was formed in June 1995 by president David Karkanen and vice president John Mayer. Karkanen's career includes positions as branch manager for Mellon Financial Services in Salem, Oregon, and American General Finance, Inc. in Portland. He became senior loan officer for Fairway Financial Services, Inc in Portland in 1993, founding his own firm just two years later.
Mayer has been marketing manager with Bungee Master, Inc. in Beaverton; loan officer with Myco Financial Services, Inc. in Portland; and then joined up with David as senior loan officer at Fairway Financial Services, Inc. in 1993 as well.
According to company information, Majestic offers loans via FHA, VA, conforming, non-conforming, JUMBO loans, adjustable rate loans, investor packages, equity or 2nd mortgages, construction loans, no-money-down loans and no-income-verification loans, for example. On a case-by-case basis, they will review your needs for light commercial loans, manufactured homes, multi-family projects, business loans, SBA loans, loans for adult foster care and those with private money lenders. Majestic is Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac endorsed and has an on-line application feature that will process and underwrite a client's information and immediately report a full loan commitment, based on submitted documentation. Angi says they can have a loan closing 14 business days from submission of completed paperwork.
If you have a client that may not find qualifying easy via more traditional methods, the people at Majestic invite you to give them a call. LCB
